Two self-identified “Working Class Heroes” set out on a heist so far out of their reach that it comes with a deadly cost…
Back in 2024 Sarah calls into a late night radio show in search of solace, we learn of her disenchantment of current life and her worries for the future of her daughter, Ladybird.
“The city sleeps as the skyline breathes a little. The last twinkle recorded was about a year ago, before blinking red dots of metal ornaments began building. They sleep on a blanket of clouds in thin air as their council flats become someone else's wish.
From the rooftop overlooking their dystopia, The KID and Lady B stand watch - the guardians of their habitat. For as each night dissipates, so does a piece of themselves, and tonight might be their opportunity to reclaim a lost piece and give back.
Ireland has changed - it’s different - and this “not-so-dynamic” duo has to serve justice… Dublin Style.”

Writers note
HEIST is a piece that i have tinkered with over the past number of years. I asked myself what world is it set, what place in time is it set and what i landed on was this. HEIST is the prolonged after math of DAFT its in the same farcial universe just further down the line. Its more harsh and somewhat bleak as the frustrations ring through.
The world feels more like a free for all as the structure is blurred between the lines.
My target of choice was culture, Irish culture, Dublin culture more specifically its uniqueness and what of it would be left after years of gentrification, corporate infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
What would the mindset be, where would peoples purpose lay.
During the piece i wanted to have a base , a grounding hence introducing Sarah and her oppenent the Presenter. They bring thier worries and Vigilantes show them an outcome.
I do hope you enjoy the piece, i feel this might only be the start of My Farcical Universe
